The pasta with fresh cherry tomato sauce was born at the last minute a few days ago for lunch. I didn’t feel like making classic condiments, and I didn’t even know how I wanted to dress the pasta.
I saw that I had some cherry tomatoes in the fridge, and since it was just my husband and me, I decided to make a quick sauce. Despite being simple, it was really tasty… even though the cherry tomatoes were from the supermarket, I must say they were really good.
A quick sauce, but as I see it, it contained all of summer, with its beautiful colors and flavors.
I love garlic, so I used two cloves, but you can adjust to your taste.
Give it a try; I’m sure you’ll love it a lot!
If you make this or any of my other recipes on my blog, feel free to send me your photos, and I will post them on my Facebook page in your name.

Ingredients to Make Pasta with Fresh Cherry Tomato Sauce
- 10 oz pasta
- 5.3 oz cherry tomatoes
- to taste salt
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- basil (a few leaves)
Preparation of Pasta with Fresh Cherry Tomato Sauce
In a non-stick pan, put the oil, grated garlic cloves, washed and chopped cherry tomatoes, and begin cooking, stirring occasionally.
Halfway through cooking, chop a few basil leaves, adjust the salt, add a little water, and continue until fully cooked.
In the meantime, bring water to a boil for the pasta, salt it, and when it boils, add the pasta.
Drain the pasta al dente and transfer it to the sauce, which should now be ready. Complete the cooking for 1-2 minutes in the sauce, stirring constantly, and serve.
Serve and enjoy with a few fresh basil leaves.
