Rustic Spelt Flour Rolls

The rustic spelt flour rolls are truly excellent and are definitely healthier thanks to the spelt flour.
The only downside to these types of recipes is the rising time, but I love watching my recipes rise, it gives me a sense of satisfaction. If the final result satisfies you, it was surely worth the wait.
The flavor of spelt is truly tasty, and despite being made with a rustic flour, this bread keeps well for a few days.
If you make any of my recipes, send me photos that I will publish on my page with your name.

  • Let’s start preparing the rustic spelt flour rolls.

In a bowl, put the lukewarm water with the yeast, let it dissolve, then add the spelt flour, mixing well.

Next, add the salt and all-purpose flour, mixing and blending everything well until a homogeneous dough is formed.

Let it rise in a warm place for at least 3 hours and in any case until it doubles in volume.

Once risen, divide the dough into 8 parts and form balls.

The rising time will depend on whether the environment is warm, if there are drafts, etc…

  • Bake at 392°F for about 30 minutes, checking the baking.

My name is Francesca Mele, and "Lo scrigno del buongusto" is the name of my blog. I am a true Abruzzese, and after several years with a cooking website, I decided to start a blog. I have been online for a total of 12 years now, so many of you have known me for a long time! I love cooking and I am neither a chef nor a professional cook; I simply have a passion for cooking, preparing, and inventing new dishes. The recipes you find on my blog are not copied, and even the photos are not downloaded from the internet; they are my own.
