The sponge cake is a simple and basic classic for a dessert without too many pretensions, yet very good for breakfast or an afternoon snack.
Soft, light, and fragrant, a classic of Italian pastry.
The Sponge Cake, one of those desserts that smell like home: soft, genuine, and perfect at any time of the day.
Today I bring you the traditional recipe to prepare it in a few steps… ready to become your favorite!
Few ingredients used, it can also be served filled with jam or chocolate for a more intense flavor.
It will surely be loved by both adults and children!
Be careful to beat the eggs well and blend the batter well so that the mixture doesn’t deflate too much when adding the flour.
It stays soft for several days if well preserved in a plastic food bag.

I love cooking and I am neither a chef nor a professional cook; I simply have a passion for cooking, preparing, and inventing new dishes. The recipes you find on my blog are not copied, and even the photos are not downloaded from the internet; they are my own.
