Yogurt Cake with the Bread Machine

The yogurt cake with the bread machine was a sweet treat prepared at the last minute for a snack.
A really good result, kneaded and cooked in the bread machine and really very soft, what can I say… really good!
The bread machine, my Panasonic, is really a great solution for those moments when you have little time and want a quick dessert, or something savory…..there are many programs to make the recipes we like the most.
If you want it bigger, you can double the dose, it fits in the basket and you’ll have a nice big cake.
A soft and fragrant dessert is always ideal for starting a day in the best way.

Even if you don’t have the same bread machine as mine, you can look for the program that kneads and cooks and you will have a great result.
So all that’s left is to replicate the recipe and if you do, feel free to send me your photos, I’ll post them on my FB page under your name!

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2.08 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • grated zest of one lemon

  • 1 Bread Machine bread machine

Preparation of the Yogurt Cake with the Bread Machine

  • In the bread machine basket, add the ingredients starting with the liquids, beating the eggs separately before adding them, then add the rest of the ingredients.

  • Set the machine to the kneading + baking program, in mine, button 15, let it work and when it has finished kneading, use a spatula to try to push down any residues from the sides of the basket.
So it will knead and bake together and when there are practically 20 minutes left on the timer until the end of baking, turn off the machine, remove the basket and let it cool for a few minutes.

  • At this point, remove the cake from the basket and let it cool completely and before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
