Please note it is important to cook the cake over very low heat throughout, otherwise it might burn.

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (I use spelt)
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 packet vanillin

The pan used is non-stick and has a 8-9 inch diameter bottom. If you have a larger pan, it’s okay, the cake will be shorter but just as good.

  • In a bowl, work the eggs with sugar, add the milk and oil.

    Start pouring, a little at a time, the flour and baking powder.

    Take the pan and grease it with some butter, pour the mixture into the pan.

  • Cover the pan with the lid and place it on the stove.

    Cook the cake in the pan for 20 minutes on a very low flame, after this time, using a plate, flip the cake, put the lid back on and cook for another 10 minutes.

  • Once the cooking time is up, flip the cake onto a cutting board and let it cool completely.
