These hazelnut heart chocolates are perfect for a buffet or as an original gift. Every time I serve them they are always a hit! They will take a little time to make, but they’re definitely worth it. A crunchy chocolate shell that hides a hazelnut heart soaked in a delicious hazelnut cream. A celebration of sweetness you can’t resist!

Ingredients
- 3 oz Hazelnut wafers
- 3 1/2 tbsp Butter
- 7 oz Milk chocolate
- 15 Hazelnuts
- as needed Hazelnut spread
- as needed Chopped hazelnuts
Tools
- Chocolate mold
Preparation
To make the hazelnut heart chocolates, place the wafers in a food processor and finely crush them until you get a sand-like mixture.
Transfer the wafer crumbs to a bowl and add the melted butter (in the microwave or using a double boiler). Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Place the wafer-and-butter mixture into a semi-spherical chocolate mold. Try to press the mixture well against the walls so it takes a rounded, dome-like shape with a hollow inside. Refrigerate for half an hour.
Then remove the shells from the mold and fill them, using a teaspoon, with the hazelnut spread. In half of the shells place a whole hazelnut, then pair each one with a shell where you didn’t place a hazelnut. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt the milk chocolate (in the microwave or using a double boiler). Dip the chocolates in the melted chocolate and then in the chopped hazelnuts. Place the hazelnut heart chocolates on parchment paper and refrigerate for a couple of hours. Enjoy!
