Pear and Chocolate Cake

The pear and chocolate cake is a dessert that is always a big hit at my house for its taste and softness. Perfect for breakfast, it will be appreciated by the whole family even at snack time. Ideal for autumn and winter days, it pairs well with coffee or tea.

Pear and Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 cup Sunflower Seed Oil
  • 2 cups Milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 3 Pears
  • 1 packet Baking Powder
  • 1/3 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • to taste Powdered Sugar

Preparation

  • To make the pear and chocolate cake, mix the flour with the sugar, add the oil, milk, and eggs. Blend the ingredients until the mixture is smooth; finally, add the baking powder.

  • Peel and chop one pear into pieces and add it to the batter along with the chocolate, then pour everything into a greased and floured 9.5-inch springform pan.

  • Slice the other two pears thinly, keeping the peel, and arrange the slices on top of the batter, pressing them in slightly. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 40 minutes, and do the toothpick test.

  • Once baked, let it cool, serve on a serving plate sprinkled with powdered sugar.
