Advice
The panone is a dessert that, thanks to the amount of sugar, can be easily preserved for a couple of months. Leave it in the aluminum mold and cover it with plastic wrap and foil.
Every two days, brush the surface with a little warm honey and bitter almond liqueur (or saba) for the first 10 days. Let the surface dry and cover again.
Store it in a cool and dry place.
Check the texture and moisture often, and if you notice it starting to dry, brush it again with warm honey.
