What is amaranth?

Originally from Mexico, amaranth is not a grain but a “pseudocereal” like quinoa. Considered “the gold of the Gods” by the Incas and Aztecs, its spread was halted with the arrival of the Conquistadors in the early 16th century, as the Spaniards banned it to impose their own crops over native ones. Its nutritional rediscovery occurred in 1975.

Among its properties: It helps the intestines function better. Thanks to the good amount of fiber, it helps you regain your natural regularity, thus preventing colon and intestinal diseases. Additionally, it helps you feel fuller for longer, preventing sudden hunger attacks.
