Bulgogi Korean Beef (Korea)

The Bulgogi Korean Beef 불고기 is the typical dish from Korean BBQ, that is to say, beef strips, usually sirloin or loin, marinated in onion, sugar, garlic, pepper, and then grilled and usually served with rice, kimchi and lettuce to form a kind of “wrap“.

In Korean “bul” means fire and “gogi” stands for meat, meaning cooking over a high flame, hence the term Bulgogi Korean beef (Korean-style meat).

This is the 11th course of the Welcome Spring menu in the column “Building the Menu“.
