Greek White Wine:

Greece is an extremely diverse country in terms of terrain, with vineyards scattered in areas with very different geographical characteristics.

For the ancient Greeks, wine was a sacred beverage: as early as 1600 BC, wine was used as a beverage for ritual and religious purposes. The wine god in Greek mythology was Dionysus, who revealed to men the secrets of beverage production and in whose honor the so-called “Dionysian Orgies” were celebrated, true festivals dedicated to wine.

The Retsina are the most famous wines of Greece: they are light white wines flavored with pine resin and honey and are almost exclusively produced for the domestic market.
