Ya têāhū̂ fu ยำเต้าหู้ฟู is translatable as “Spicy Tofu Salad”.
➡This is the vegetarian version of the dish Yam Pla Duk Fu, which means Spicy Catfish (pla duk) Salad (yam), served with mango.
➡Tofu replaces the fish, and after being crumbled (fu fu) and mixed with breadcrumbs (or starch), it is fried and served with a mix of soy sauce, sugar, and lime – essential elements of Thai cuisine – and with mango, carrot, tomato, chili peppers, and peanuts.
