I wanted to make a super quick dessert but had almost nothing at home 😄 so I pulled out whipping cream, coffee and amaretti and these amaretti and coffee mousse cups were born — one of those clever ideas that save the dessert in a few minutes.

These quick 3-ingredient amaretti and coffee mousse cups are perfect when you want a simple yet impressive spoon dessert, one of those no-bake quick desserts most sought after and among the most loved recipes with coffee and amaretti. Creamy, aromatic and with that crunchy note from the amaretti that makes them irresistible.

It’s one of those “zero stress” desserts you can prepare at the last minute, ideal if you’re looking for easy and quick spoon desserts, cold coffee desserts or quick sweet ideas after dinner. In 5 minutes you get a patisserie-looking result, but without any complication.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (about 17.6 oz (approx. 2 cups))
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee (or moka coffee)
  • 20 amaretti cookies

Steps

  • Whip the cream with electric beaters or with a hand (immersion) blender and divide it into two bowls.

  • In one bowl add the coffee and continue to work with the hand blender or electric beaters; in the other add the amaretti broken up by hand, then blend everything.

  • Arrange cookie crumbs on the bottom of the cups and fill with the mousses alternating them, decorate with crumbs and place in the fridge until serving.
