Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup type 2 flour
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil (or extra virgin olive oil)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup erythritol (or granulated sugar)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Nutella® (or any spreadable chocolate/hazelnut cream you prefer)

Steps

  • Put the flour in a bowl, add the baking powder, the sugar, a pinch of salt, the oil and finally the egg; mix with a fork then move to the work surface.

  • Work until you get a smooth, workable dough then roll it out on the surface with a rolling pin to form a rectangle.

  • Fill with Nutella and roll it up loosely, making folds as you go rather than a tight little roll.

  • Make 8 cuts without separating the roll and place it on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake at 356°F for about 15 minutes, remove from the oven and separate the pieces, dust with powdered sugar if you like.
