Variants and Storage
– As I mentioned in the introduction, starting with the vanilla base, you can create many different flavors.
– You can, for example, create the stracciatella flavor by coarsely chopping chocolate; or, to create a different variegation, you can add the spreadable cream you like the most, for instance, pistachio cream.
– You can use different toppings each time (even if I don’t love them), and you can enrich with coarsely chopped nuts: adding some hazelnuts to the chocolate flavor will create the ‘bacio’ flavor.
– Finally, you can make ice cream in any fruit flavor, replacing the strawberries with any fresh fruit you desire.
– If you use containers with lids, your homemade ice cream will perfectly keep for 1-2 weeks.
