Advent Cookies. This recipe is perfect to make with children, who will use cookie cutters to create the Advent calendar. Cookies to be placed in small boxes and opened one a day until Christmas Day, but they can also be hung on the tree as decoration. However, they are so good that I don’t think they’ll last until December 25!!!

Advent Cookies Steps
Sift the flour into the bowl of the stand mixer where you will add powdered sugar, salt, and vanillin. Start the mixer to combine the flours.
Separate the egg yolks from the whites, reserving 2 tbsp (about 1 oz) for the glaze.
Add one egg yolk at a time with the machine still on, until fully absorbed.
Now you can add the butter and work for about one minute.
Pour the mixture onto a work surface and quickly work with your hands to form a smooth ball, which you will cover with plastic wrap and let rest for at least an hour in the refrigerator.
After the necessary time has passed, take the dough and roll it out with the help of a rolling pin to about 1/6 inch.
Use Christmas-shaped cookie cutters to form the cookies, using all the dough.
If you prefer to hang them on the tree, make a little hole with the help of a straw.
Place the cookies on parchment paper and bake at 338°F (170°C) for 15 minutes in a preheated static oven.
Let cool.
Prepare the glaze (to be made at the moment otherwise it dries out). Pour the egg white with the sugar and beat at high speed with an electric mixer until a smooth cream is obtained.
Put it in a piping bag and use it for the writing.
Color the glaze if you want to decorate the cookies, use gel food colors, not liquid ones; the amount depends on the shade you most desire.
