Pan-seared Prawns with Lemon

in

I love prawns cooked in a pan in just a few minutes and flavored with plenty of lemon. Unfortunately here in the Netherlands I can’t easily find fresh fish, at least not where I live. So when I go to Italy for holidays one of the first things I do is stock up on fish and cook a few new recipes for the blog, just like this one.

These pan-seared prawns are very quick to bring to the table, they only take a few minutes and are perfect for a special occasion, a party, Christmas or Valentine’s Day for example. Let’s make them now.

  • Sauté the prawns for about 10 minutes, turning them often, and halfway through cooking squeeze the juice of half a lemon directly over the prawns.

  • At the end of cooking place the prawns on the serving plate and garnish with chopped fresh parsley and a few lemon wedges made from the remaining half.

A few salad leaves also go well with this and here is a dish that couldn’t be simpler. The pan-seared prawns with lemon are delicious, very light and also nutritious: what are you waiting for? Let me know if you made them in the comments below the recipe.

    Enjoy your meal!

Storage

You can prepare the prawns in advance and then reheat them when needed. They are so quick to cook that I still recommend making them fresh at the moment.
