The crumbl cookies (or cookie crumbles) are a richer variation of the typical American cookies recipe.
Crumbl cookies have gone viral online and can be seen in many versions, topped with creams and chocolates.
Today I show you my version: a cookie base with milk chocolate and peanuts, then topped with more chocolate and candied peanuts.
Making crumbl cookies at home is easy and fun, and the result will win over the whole family!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Rest time: 30 Minutes
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Cooking time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 15 pieces
- Cooking methods: Oven
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (packed) brown sugar
- 7 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 oz milk chocolate
- 2 oz peanuts
- 1 oz milk chocolate
- to taste candied peanuts
Steps
To make the crumbl cookies, put the flour, brown sugar and baking powder in a bowl.
Mix and then form a well; place the cold butter cut into small pieces and the egg in the center.
Knead and finally add the chocolate cut into small pieces and the peanuts. Mix the ingredients until you obtain a smooth, compact dough. Form a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Form balls with the dough (size as preferred) and flatten them slightly with your hands.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 8 minutes.
Then remove from the oven, gently press the crumbl cookies with a glass, and top the cookies with pieces of chocolate and candied peanuts.
Return to the hot oven at 356°F for another 2 minutes, or until golden.
Once baked, let them rest for 5 minutes then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
