Cookies are tasty chocolate chip cookies, famous worldwide as a representation of American culinary culture. I always used to eat the store-bought ones, but then I tried making them at home and it was a success! These cookies are very fragrant and please everyone: both chocolate lovers and those who aren’t. They are ideal for breakfast or any other time of the day: for a coffee break or to enjoy in front of the TV.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup 00 flour (all-purpose flour)
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips (about 4.2 oz)
- 7 tbsp unsalted butter (or 1/3 cup sunflower oil (about 2.7 fl oz))
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar (about 3.5 oz)
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Steps
To make the cookies, in a bowl pour the flour, the brown sugar and the baking powder. Mix, then form a well in the center and add the vanilla extract, the cold butter cut into small pieces (or the oil) and the egg.
Knead and add the chocolate chips last. Combine the ingredients until you obtain a smooth, compact dough. Form a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour.
Then remove the dough from the refrigerator, form balls of the desired size and flatten them with your hands.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 10-12 minutes, until golden.
Once baked, let them rest 5 minutes then transfer them to a wire rack and cool completely. Enjoy!
