Children tend to ignore most fruit in general, but cherries are another story. A typical spring fruit, they are abundant across Italian cultivation during their season.
They are desirable for their beautiful red color, they decorate and bring a lot of cheer to the table and to the fruit basket.
Since I was little I loved eating them and even playing with cherries I would put them on my ears like earrings. I chose those joined by the stem that lent themselves to that. Or I would make a little bouquet and tie the stems together with a string, all on the stem, and I was proud to show them off. This fruit was one of the few things we could all enjoy. Even the poorest had them at home. Happy with little, but… blessed were we who were content with the small great things.

Steps
Choose whole cherries and wash them well two or three times.
Remove the pits using a knife — this is the most tedious part of this recipe. A bit of patience but it will be worth it, believe me.
Then place the pitted cherries in the blender jar and also add the cold milk from the fridge and sugar to taste.
Turn on the blender and blend for two to three minutes until you obtain a smooth, creamy cherry-colored smoothie.
Drink the cherry and milk smoothie immediately — refreshing and also nutritious, ideal for a healthy snack.
