The pasta with broccoli and shrimp is a tasty and easy first course. I made this recipe by first boiling the broccoli and cooking the shrimp in a pan. To better combine the broccoli with the shrimp I added cooking cream, which you can omit if it is not to your liking. I cooked the pasta in the water where I boiled the broccoli and mixed it with the sauce, bringing a plate to the table that’s finger-licking good!

Ingredients
- 7 oz pasta
- 1 2/3 cups broccoli
- 3.5 oz shrimp
- 1 clove garlic
- 7 tbsp cooking cream
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
Steps
To make the pasta with broccoli and shrimp, wash and clean the broccoli, then cook them in plenty of boiling water and once ready drain them. Keep the broccoli cooking water to cook the pasta.
Wash the shrimp under running water, remove the head, legs and shell, then remove the intestinal tract: make a cut along the back of the shrimp with a knife and pull it out gently, trying not to break it.
In a pan lightly brown the garlic clove with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and, if you like, some chopped chili pepper. Add the shrimp and sauté them.
Finally add the broccoli, mash them with a fork and sauté over low heat for a few minutes, then remove the garlic, add the cooking cream and season with salt to taste.
Cook the pasta in the salted boiling water where the broccoli were cooked; once cooked (preferably al dente) drain it and pour it into the pan with the broccoli and shrimp.
Toss for a few minutes to combine, then remove the pan from the heat and serve. Enjoy!
