Grilled Onions. Onions cooked in the embers or foil-wrapped onions are an excellent vegetable side dish. A simple dish that does not require effort and is very tasty. Ideal to prepare when you’ve just finished grilling, when the embers are nice and hot but the flames have died down, they practically cook themselves! But not only that, they can also be cooked in the fireplace embers when the fire is dying. For this recipe, you can use white, golden, or red onions.

Steps for Grilled Onions
This is a super quick recipe! Wash the onions leaving the skin on and dry them, place each onion on a square of aluminum foil, close the packet and place them in the embers (if the embers are still very active make sure to keep an eye on them and turn them)
Cooking time varies from 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the onions and the type of embers, turn the onions from time to time!
Using tongs, remove the onions. Grilled Onions are excellent just removed from the grill, seasoned with olive oil and salt (to taste), they keep well for a day in the refrigerator. Enjoy them at room temperature, always seasoned to taste.
