Steps for Puff Pastry Tree with Jam
To make this dessert, start by unrolling the puff pastry left out of the fridge for at least 10 minutes.
Cut out a tree shape.
From the shorter side, calculate the center and go down both sides by 9.5 inches with the help of a ruler.
While the trunk will be about 2.75 inches.
Remove the excess dough, also make another shape with the second roll of puff pastry.
Cover everything with berry jam or the one you prefer, don’t overdo it or it will spill out during baking.
Place the second shape on top and use a fork to seal the edges perfectly.
To form the branches, cut at least 5 rectangles, the cut should be stopped at the trunk size.
At this point, each rectangle should be twisted twice for longer branches and once for shorter ones.
Brush the entire surface of the tree with beaten egg.
Bake for 10/12 minutes at 356°F in a preheated static oven.
Let it cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar, decorate with whipped cream, raspberries, and colored smarties.
