For the one-pot rice with broccoli and beans
- 1 Pan 11 inches
- 1 Lid
Steps
To make the one-pot rice with broccoli and beans
First, cut the broccoli into individual florets and wash them under running water if necessary. Then, heat the oil in a non-stick pan, and once hot, add all the broccoli pieces.
Continue by adding all the rice and previously drained and rinsed beans once the broccoli is slightly browned, mixing everything with a spatula or wooden spoon.
At this point, pour in all the tomato sauce and add water, ensuring it covers the rice and beans generously. Add salt and prepare for the last step.
To finish, cover with the lid and cook without stirring, over medium heat, for about 15 minutes or until the liquid has completely absorbed. At this point, remove the lid and ensure a crust has formed on the bottom. Great! Cooking is done.
Finally, place your portions on a flat plate, wait 10 minutes before serving, and if desired, add a spicy note with chili powder or Tabasco sauce as a garnish.
Tip
Let it rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.
