Cookies are delicious chocolate chip cookies, famous worldwide as a representation of American culinary culture. I’ve always eaten the ones bought at the supermarket, but then I tried making them at home and it was a success! These cookies are very crunchy and satisfy everyone: chocolate lovers and others alike. They are ideal for breakfast or any other time of the day: for a coffee break or to enjoy while watching TV.

- Cooking methods: Oven
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup dark chocolate chips
- 7 tbsp butter (or 1/3 cup sunflower oil)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Steps
To make the cookies, pour the flour, brown sugar, and baking powder into a bowl. Mix and then form a well in the center where you will add the vanilla extract, cold butter cut into pieces (or the oil), and the egg.
Knead and add the chocolate chips last. Combine the ingredients until you get a smooth and firm dough. Form a ball, wrap it with cling film, and let it rest in the refrigerator for an hour.
After that, take the dough out of the refrigerator, form balls of dough (any size you prefer) and flatten them with your hands.
Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.
Once baked, let them rest for 5 minutes then transfer them to a wire rack and let them cool completely. Enjoy!
