The yogurt and chocolate bites are delightful, very quick chocolates you can prepare in 5 minutes with only 2 ingredients. Yes, I still have Easter eggs to use, and to recycle one I wanted to make creamy no-bake sweets that melt in your mouth. How wonderful! The yogurt and chocolate bites are melt-in-your-mouth — you’ll fall in love at the first taste; they are fresh and fragrant, perfect for breakfast, snack, as a treat or after a meal!

  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 8-inch pan
  • Cooking methods: No-bake
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 18 oz chocolate
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • as needed unsweetened cocoa powder (for coating)

Steps

  • The yogurt and chocolate bites are super easy and very quick to prepare. First, melt the chocolate of your choice in a double boiler or in the microwave.

  • Add the plain yogurt and mix well until the two ingredients are fully combined.

  • Transfer the mixture into a pan lined with plastic wrap, smooth it well and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours so it can set.

  • After chilling, unmold the dessert and dust it with unsweetened cocoa powder on both sides. This step is optional, but I recommend it so the bites won’t be sticky and will taste even better.

  • Cut the set dessert into small pieces to obtain these delicious yogurt and chocolate bites.

Tips:

The yogurt and chocolate bites keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can use whichever plain yogurt you prefer — it also depends on the chocolate. I used unsweetened plain yogurt and milk chocolate, but you can, for example, use dark chocolate and sweetened (or unsweetened) yogurt if you prefer a much less sweet version. Fruit-flavored yogurts, such as banana or vanilla, also pair well with chocolate. Greek yogurt works well too; in that case, use about 1 cup (approximately 250 g).
