As a big fan of Asian cuisine, I can’t periodically resist some homemade Asian dishes.
Today, with this recipe, I combined a few but very effective ingredients for an amazing result. It doesn’t take much skill, just a few minutes to recreate this beautiful dish with an irresistible flavor.
Very importantly, for the success of this recipe, you need to use steamed rice cooked the day before and stored in the fridge. As a cooking technique for the rice, I used the “gohan” method, which is used for sushi preparation.
Therefore, below I leave you some recipes where you can learn how to cook steamed rice for sushi, which you can use for this preparation!

To prepare stir-fried rice with chicken you will need:
- 2 slices chicken breast
- 1/2 cup steamed rice
- 1 red onion
- 1 egg
- to taste ground ginger
- to taste vegetable oil
- to taste chives
- to taste soy sauce
Tools
- Wok
Steps
To prepare the stir-fried chicken with chicken
Start by heating a base of vegetable oil in a wok. Once it reaches temperature, sauté the diced red onion and let it flavor for a few minutes, adding a teaspoon of ground ginger.
Continue by adding all the pre-cooked steamed rice (preferably cold from the day before) and start mixing everything by doing a few “tosses” in the wok from time to time. Cook for about 2-3 minutes.
At this point, create a circle free of rice at the bottom of the wok and pour the egg in the center. Proceed by scrambling the egg until you get a broken omelet, which you will mix with the rest of the ingredients.
To conclude, let everything roast for a few minutes, always doing “tosses” so the rice doesn’t stick. Finally, just before turning off the flame, add chives and a little soy sauce to balance everything!
Tip!
As mentioned several times, it is very important to use steamed rice cooked the day before, left in the fridge, and used at the time of preparation.
