Summer Greek Salad

in

What is fresher and more refreshing than a salad during the summer? In my humble opinion, few other alternatives. Today I propose to you a combination of vegetables, all raw, to make a super easy salad!

Great in any context, to eat both at home or outdoors, maybe on the beach or in the mountains. I was inspired by Greek tradition to create this fantastic mix of flavors by adding some of my own touches like dried cranberries.

In addition to the vegetables, the typical Greek cheese, feta, is essential! In the end, tasting this salad will be a unique tasting experience, quite different from the usual. So follow the super easy recipe below!

  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting Board

Steps

  • To start, wash all the vegetables under running water and then dry them well with a cloth.

  • Continue by roughly chopping the tomatoes and placing them inside the salad bowl.

  • Proceed by peeling the cucumber, cut it in half lengthwise, and then slice it before adding it to the salad bowl with the tomatoes.

  • At this point, take the onion, cut it in half, carefully remove the outer skin, and finally slice it thinly. Then move the onion into the salad bowl.

  • Finally, slice the bell pepper into rings, first removing the cap and the seeds inside. Once you have the pepper rings, add them to the bowl with all the other chopped vegetables.

  • To finish, cut the feta cheese into cubes and remove the pits from the olives. Add everything to complete the main ingredients of the salad.

  • Finally, dress with extra virgin olive oil, salt, apple cider vinegar, oregano, and a generous handful of dried cranberries! And voila, your mega Greek-style salad is ready to enjoy!

Tip!

If you need to eat your Greek salad immediately after preparation, I highly recommend chilling all the vegetables in the fridge so you can enjoy it cold.
