Chocolate Salami. A classic dessert prepared in Italian kitchens is undoubtedly chocolate salami.
For this typical dessert, there may be some variations from region to region.
In our kitchen today, we proposed it using cocoa instead of melted chocolate in a bain-marie.
This dessert is easy and quick to make, very tasty, suitable for any occasion, it should be made whenever you crave it, because it is a quick and truly exquisite dessert.
Made with few ingredients, it has biscuits and cocoa as its base and is made especially without using the oven, so it’s an ideal dessert for both winter and summer.
Even though it is a cold dessert, it is excellent for Easter or Christmas day.

Chocolate Salami Steps
To start preparing our chocolate salami, leave the butter out of the fridge to soften at room temperature.
In the meantime, crumble the dry biscuits in a very large bowl.
Beat the eggs in another bowl adding the sugar and mix for a few minutes.
Add the sifted cocoa to the eggs and mix vigorously for a few minutes to remove any lumps.
Now add the softened butter and mix with a spatula, stir the whole mixture for a minute to combine perfectly.
Add the biscuits and mix again to obtain a homogeneous and semi-dry dough.
Now you can spread the obtained mixture on parchment paper or a sheet of aluminum foil, placing it in the center and trying to obtain an elongated shape.
Wrap it with the paper trying to shape it.
Your chocolate salami is ready to be put in the fridge for about 6 hours or less than 2 hours in the freezer.
As soon as the necessary time is up, you can bring your chocolate salami to the table. Dust with powdered sugar!
