The CARASAU FOCACCIA WITH STRACCHINO AND COOKED HAM is really tasty: it’s a faux focaccia made with pane carasau, filled with cheese and cooked ham. Perfect for an easy and quick dinner. If you prefer a more elaborate version, I suggest the legendary focaccia with crispy and appetizing stracchino or the spoon focaccia with salami and cheese; below you will find the video recipe of the Carasau Focaccia.

How to make Carasau Focaccia with Stracchino and Ham
First, soak the pane carasau in water to soften it; then place it in a well-oiled baking tray, fill with sliced cooked ham and add the stracchino in pieces over the surface.
Repeat with another layer of pane carasau, a pinch of salt and finally the cooked ham and the stracchino.
Close with the last layer of wet pane carasau and a drizzle of olive oil, then bake in a preheated oven (conventional) at 356°F for about 20 minutes.
Storage
The Carasau focaccia with stracchino and ham can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days.
Tips
You can omit the cooked ham or add tomato passata. If you prefer the top layer creamier and less crispy, you can add more stracchino.
