Soft Cantucci cooked in the Air Fryer: Deliciousness Without Turning on the Oven!

My stuffed cookies cooked in the air fryer instantly lift your mood with their tastiness; they are perfect for breakfast or any other time of the day.
I decided to try this “air fryer” version to avoid, especially on hot summer days, turning on the traditional oven. I must say the result is really great: crunchy on the outside and with a surprising center.

Ingredients for the soft cantucci cooked in the air fryer
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp + 1 tsp milk (Warm)
- 3 1/2 tbsp oil
- 1 egg (at room temperature)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Steps for the soft cantucci cooked in the air fryer
Pour the flour into a bowl and add the sugar, the baking powder, the oil, the milk and the egg. Begin to mix all the ingredients together well.
Transfer everything to a lightly floured work surface. Work the dough with your hands until you obtain a smooth, soft and homogeneous ball (if you see the dough is sticking too much, add another pinch of flour).
Once you have the perfect dough ball, divide it into two equal parts.
Create a rectangle 8 in long and 6 in high (adjust according to the size of your air fryer), spread hazelnut spread in the center and make two folds until closed, pressing the edges well to seal.
Place the 2 loaves inside the air fryer and bake at 356°F for 15 minutes. After this time, very carefully and with the help of kitchen utensils, turn the two loaves over and bake for another 5 minutes.
Let the loaves cool completely inside the air fryer with the basket open.
Once the loaves are completely cool, cut them with a knife to create the cookies.
