Storage and Variants
How to store it
The Nutella cake keeps very well for 3-4 days under a cake dome or in an airtight container at room temperature.
If it’s very hot, you can also put it in the fridge: just take it out 10 minutes before eating it to regain all its softness.
Alternatively, you can freeze it in slices (a real lifesaver!): wrap them well in plastic wrap and thaw as needed.
Delicious Variants
If you want to change it up a bit or make it even more tantalizing, here are some ideas:
With chocolate chips: add them to the batter for an extra indulgent touch!
With chopped hazelnuts: to give a crunchy note inside or on the surface.
Filled: cut it in half and fill it with Nutella or red fruit jam.
Without butter: you can replace it with seed oil for a lighter version.
With whole wheat or almond flour: to change flavor and texture.
In short, it’s a simple but super versatile cake… any excuse is a good one to remake it!
