No-Bake Chocolate Bites

in

Extraordinarily indulgent, the no-bake chocolate bites contain no added sugars and are made in just a few minutes without any special tools!

The two main ingredients are a banana and dark chocolate, to which you can optionally add desiccated coconut, various nut grinds or flavorings.

As mentioned, no specific equipment is needed—just a fork to mash the banana; if you prefer a smoother result you can also blend it.

Essentially you melt the chocolate and mix it with the mashed banana; chill in the fridge for a few hours and then you can enjoy them without too much guilt.

With the warmer season arriving, it’s lovely to prepare these treats that don’t need an oven and enjoy them whenever you crave something sweet.

They’re naturally sweet since there’s no added sugar; I used 75% dark chocolate, which has a lower sugar load compared to the usual 50% — but that’s a matter of taste. You can also use gianduia or milk chocolate if you prefer.

So, what do you think about trying these no-bake chocolate bites? I guarantee they’re truly delicious!

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz 75% dark chocolate
  • 1 banana banana
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 oz 65% dark chocolate

Steps

  • – Mash one banana with a fork until it becomes a pulp, and melt the chocolate (in a double boiler or in the microwave).

  • – In a bowl, mix the two ingredients together with the chopped almonds (save one tablespoon for decoration) and pour into muffin molds. Put in the fridge for 4-5 hours.

  • – Unmold the bites and decorate with a little melted chocolate and the reserved chopped almonds. Store in the fridge.

Notes:

– Do not use an overly ripe banana; otherwise they will not keep well in the fridge.

– Store in the fridge for up to 3 days (this recipe yields 3 little cakes; if you eat one a day I’m not sure they keep longer) or freeze them.
