Ingredients for Yogurt and Chocolate Nua Cake
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 5 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 (plus 1 tbsp) cup milk (warm)
- 6 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 cup plain yogurt (about 100 g (3.5 oz))
- to taste hazelnut cream (hazelnut spread)
Steps for the Yogurt and Chocolate Nua Cake
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and the eggs until the mixture is pale and frothy. Then add the vegetable oil and the warm milk in a thin stream, continuing to mix.
Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula, mixing until the batter is smooth and homogeneous.
Prepare an 20-22 cm (about 8–8 3/4 inches) cake pan (greased and floured or lined with parchment) and pour in the batter.Randomly distribute spoonfuls of yogurt and spoonfuls of hazelnut spread over the batter. Using the tip of a fork, create a spiral or “marbled” effect so the ingredients sink slightly into the batter.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F for about 40-45 minutes. I recommend doing the toothpick test to be sure the cake is done: when the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is perfectly baked.
Allow the cake to cool completely before removing it from the pan. If you like, dust it with a little powdered sugar before serving.
