Peppers cooked in the air fryer are the perfect solution for those who love this vegetable but are looking for a practical and quick method. Peeling peppers has never been so simple: just cook them for 20 minutes in the air fryer, wrap them in food storage bags and you’ll see the skins come off almost by themselves. Then simply season them with oil, salt and, if you like, garlic, to have a really tasty and easily digestible side dish.

Ingredients for peppers cooked in the air fryer
- 2 Peppers (Large)
Tools
2 large food storage bags.
Steps for peppers cooked in the air fryer
Start by washing the peppers thoroughly and drying them. Place the whole peppers directly on the basket of the air fryer; there is no need to cut them or remove the stem and the seeds.
Cook at 392°F for about 20 minutes, turning them a couple of times to change sides and ensure even cooking. When they are soft on all sides, it means they are done.Take the peppers while still hot (using tongs) and put them into food storage bags (the kind usually used for freezer storage), making sure they are large enough to hold them, and seal the bag well.
After a maximum of 10 minutes, proceed to peel them. The peppers will still be warm but won’t be as hot as when freshly roasted; thanks to the condensation created inside the bag, the skin will come off almost by itself. Once cleaned, cut them into strips and season with extra virgin olive oil, salt and garlic.
The air-fried roasted peppers are ready to be enjoyed. See you in the next recipe.
