How to make fruit ice cream without an ice cream maker, with a juicer or with the Thermomix
Tasty, good and diet-friendly, I created this ice cream especially for myself because I’m always on a diet. So, not being able to eat regular ice cream, but with a big craving for it.
That’s why I bought an extractor for frozen fruit and I make myself treats.
If you don’t have an extractor you can use the Thermomix or a very powerful blender.
To get the right consistency I used Greek yogurt which gives lots of creaminess and, for an extra touch, I added delicate rose petals.
Greek yogurt actually comes from Bulgaria and is produced especially in the United States, but it’s called Greek and that’s how we know it.
It has less sodium, less lactose, more protein than regular yogurt, so it’s more suitable for low-sodium diets and for people who are lactose intolerant, considering that it is more nutrient-dense than traditional yogurt with a lower sugar content but the same amount of live cultures.

Steps How to make fruit ice cream without an ice cream maker
To make this ice cream, the night before you need to put the fruit in the freezer, washed and free of skins and leaves; also, the banana must be sliced into rounds.
I set aside 2 strawberries and passed the rest together with the banana through an extractor that turns them into ice cream without adding anything else.
For those using the Thermomix, you should chop for 3 minutes at speed 7, then scrape down with a spatula, insert the butterfly whisk and whip for 3 minutes at speed 3.
In the small glasses I put 2 teaspoons of Greek yogurt,
then rose petals (I took the rose petals from my dwarf roses; you can use whichever you want but it’s important they are untreated), a spoonful of ice cream, a little more Greek yogurt and more petals.
I placed the strawberries I had set aside on top like a little hat. I finished with mint leaves.

FAQ (Questions and Answers)
How to make fruit ice cream without an ice cream maker
Can I replace the strawberries?
Yes, with any other types of fruit, while bananas should not be replaced.
Regarding Greek yogurt you could replace it with my chocolate spread (click here to see it) which I show you and it has no sugar.
If you are diabetic don’t worry about the banana — it’s very little and the proteins in the Greek yogurt will counteract the glycemic spike.
